Black Box Testing

White Box Testing

- The tester or team has access to the entire internal structure and source code of the target system.
- To identify security gaps and weak points within the system.
- Provides detailed and comprehensive analysis.
- Does not fully simulate real-world attacks.

- The tester or team has limited knowledge of the target system. This knowledge could be user accounts, network structure, etc.
- Testing the system against both internal and external threats.
- Combines the advantages of both black box and white box testing.
- Deciding what information to share can be difficult.
